I started my career working as a marketing and motion designer for a tv broadcasting company in Chicago. Ten years later, I moved to San Francisco where I expanded my design world and spent the next decade in the user experience field at Walmart.com. EXPERIENCE 2025 - CURRENT LANDSCAPE DESIGN ASSISTANT LANDSCAPE CREW MEMBER 2021-2025 LANDSCAPE DESIGN ASSISTANT GRAVATERRA A ssisted with the landscape design process - on-site surveys, site maps, AutoCAD plans and illustrated concept drawings for clients in Marietta, GA area. Additionally, worked on the GravaTerra crew maintaining properties in the Marietta area - including pruning, weeding, mulching, mowing and installing. GARDENHOOD Worked with fine gardener/owner to transform SF Bay Area spaces into beautiful places. The design takes every inch of space to create hangouts. Unique features include the sunk-in fire pit, a second story pergola addition on top of the garage, and a private seating space behind the in-law unit with a secret colorful garden. Luscious greenery accented with several textures of white blooms produce a glowing moon garden - making it possible to enjoy the garden at night. Back to Portfolio Japanese Inspired Type Front yard About These clients were looking to clean up their overgrown space and transform it into a simple, but wild and natural garden. An additional wall was constructed to hide trash cans and create extra storage for the family. Focal plantings like Pinus thunbergii ‘Thunderhead’ and the unique Garry elliptical ‘Evie’ were chosen to give a nod to the Asian style that clients were looking for. Each vintage frame is customized with up-cycled planters and various types of plantings. Inspiration comes from the plants themselves or the materials I have on hand, found at markets, or free-cycled from others. I would love eventually to create these pieces for businesses and residential spaces in the future. Defined zones helped separate the lounge seating area for their daughter, a safe space for their son to shoot hoops, and a place for the parents to grow vegetables and fruits, as well as a place for all to gather for outdoor dining. The final touches are yet to come and the project will be completed in phases. Back to Portfolio Modern Edible Garden Type Backyard About Vegetables and fruits are growing in every space of this garden - blueberry shrubs, espaliered apples, fig and lemon trees, and seasonal vegetables in stock tanks. The hardscape was established but needed a better layout and new materials. The lounge area was brought closer to the house, the dining area was moved to the upper garden, and the outdoor grilling and seasonal gardening was arranged in the lower garden space.
